We are proud to announce a new service from AnonyMD: a privacy-focused VPN powered by TrustTunnel, the cutting-edge open-source VPN protocol developed by AdGuard.
TrustTunnel is a brand-new VPN protocol open-sourced by AdGuard in January 2026. Unlike conventional VPN protocols such as WireGuard or OpenVPN, TrustTunnel is engineered to disguise VPN traffic as ordinary HTTPS traffic. By leveraging HTTP/2 transport — the same technology used by everyday websites — TrustTunnel makes it extremely difficult for ISPs, governments, or network administrators to detect, throttle, or block your connection through Deep Packet Inspection (DPI). In short: to outside observers, your VPN traffic looks like you are just browsing the web.
Traditional VPN protocols have a fundamental weakness: they can be fingerprinted. Governments and ISPs in restrictive environments maintain lists of known VPN traffic signatures, and once identified, your connection can be blocked or throttled. TrustTunnel solves this by operating on data streams over HTTP/2, making it indistinguishable from normal web traffic. This matters especially for users in countries with heavy internet censorship or surveillance, and for anyone who values genuine network-level privacy. As of the launch of this service, AnonyMD is among the first VPN providers in the world to offer TrustTunnel-based VPN to the public.
